On December 22 regional headquarters finished work on a route of torch relay of the 28th World winter Universiade in the regional centers. Now all 16 cities of Kazakhstan which are taking part in Relay were defined what sights will be involved at each stage, BNews.kz reported.

On January 25, 2017 in the city of Astana fire of the 28th World winter Universiade 2017 will be engendered. Within five days in each regional center own origin of fire and the stage of Relay will be carried out.  

In general fire of the Universiade will overcome a route of more than 22,500 km long, from them 200 km will be passed by torchbearers. Official air carrier of student's games – the Air Astana airline will deliver relay fire from regions in Almaty. Thus, the torch will carry out the remained 22,300 km to Almaty where official opening of the Universiade 2017 will take place on January 29.

"The concept of relay of the Universiade 2017 is unique. Organizers divided the project into 16 independent parts and gave the chance of each area to adapt it under themselves. Now we created 16 routes which differ from each other, but are a part of a single whole. Thus, torch relay will expand Universiade geography from one city to scales of all country," the head of "Directorates on preparation and holding the 28th World winter Universiade of 2017 in the city of Almaty" Nail Nurov noted.

Route length in each regional center varies from 10 to 12 km from calculation that each torchbearer will run about 200 meters. Most longer the relay will last in Almaty, here the torch will be incurred by 100 people along a route of 20 km long. Fire of the Universiade will arise in the territory KazNU named after Al-Farabi, will visit large sporting venues: Shymbulak, Medeo, Palace of Boluan Sholak, the educational centers, sights, also finishes at Almaty Arena stadium at a culmination point of the opening ceremony.

Festive events in regions aren't less interesting and will be spectacular. For example, in the Karaganda region the relay will be divided into two stages: the first will pass in Temirtau, the second in Karaganda. During the ceremony of origin of fire in the city of Temirtau in a city bowl will connect fire from a blast furnace of Iron and steel works and coal from mines where young specialists of the region work.

Thus, the relay, will tell and will show about the best things of Kazakhstan's regions. First of all – about people: students, athletes, young scientists who will incur the Universiade torch. In too time, without advertizing there will be no student's games also, one of project tasks – to convince as much as possible Kazakhstan citizens to arrive to Almaty as sports fans.

The program of torch relay in regions

On January 25, 2017 in the city of Astana fire of the 28th World winter Universiade of Almaty 2017 will be engendered.

On January 26 fire will be engendered in the regional centers: Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Kokshetau, Petropavlovsk, Kostanay, Karaganda.

On January 27 – Aktobe, Uralsk, Atyrau, Aktau;

On January 28 – Kyzylorda, Shymkent, Taraz, Taldykorgan;

On January 29 origin of fire will go to KazNU of al-Farabi in Almaty.
